B.C. touts speed of major housing program to mark one-year anniversary

British Columbia's government marked the first anniversary of its BC Builds housing program with the groundbreaking of a 179-unit rental building in North Vancouver, developed in just 14 months. Housing Minister Ravi Kahlon announced that 1,400 homes are currently underway, with nearly 2,500 more in early development. The $950 million program aims to expedite rental project timelines. Additionally, construction has begun on three rental developments for First Nations, expected to create 236 new homes.
