Housing targets deliver more than 16,000 homes, new priority communities added

The Province and municipalities have delivered 16,130 new homes through housing targets in priority communities, addressing population growth and housing demand. A fourth group of communities, including Burnaby and Richmond, will soon receive targets. Progress reports show many municipalities exceeding or on track to meet targets by streamlining approvals, updating zoning, and partnering with organizations. The program is part of a $19-billion housing plan supporting local growth and affordability.
